jhimm

Beginning in 1993,
jhimm spent most of the 90's
trying to launch a wide variety
of ill-fated and poorly timed rock bands
(like a retro glam project
called "Whole Grain Interstate"
during the height of the grunge hype).
When working with others wasn't working,
he took out his frustrations on a 4-track,
producing a few wildly eclectic recordings
which thankfully very few people heard at the time,
but which have been converted to digital,
and are available under the moniker "Traspassers William".
(that is a moniker he had to abandon in the late 90's
when it was brought to his attention
that a well established band had already launched using it).
the positive upshot of all this, however,
was a slow, but steady embracing of electronics
as a solution for some of the concepts
he was having difficulty actualizing through analog instrumentation.

1998 - 2004
jhimm co-founded Scissorkiss,
one of Boston's premiere electro-rock ensembles.
tragically, the group was forced by circumstance
to disband just as they seemed poised to break into the big leagues.

2006-2008
jhimm co-founded a project called (lisp),
in collaboration with Dave Mazzarelli, the audio engineer on two of SK's three albums.
(lisp)'s full length LP "if { then } else { do }" is available for free on their website.

jhimm continues to compose and record on his own under the moniker .d88b.
current pieces are experiments with randomly generated MIDI data
and that material is offered for free on the .d88b. website.
